Creating original works - Creative Writing, students create a personal poem imovie
Generation of new ideas - students use MATLAB to solve problems that they develop
Creative writing - Language Arts classes utilize technologies to aid in their writing.  Tagxedo software for creating word clouds. Juniors create Ekphrastic poetry which involves finding a powerful picture and then writing about it and read the poem with the picture into iMovie. 9th graders talk and research rumors, then they write a rumor about a character from To Kill A Mockingbird.
Innovative thinking and inventiveness - In American Government, students create Facebook accounts for the Founding Fathers
Conceptual understanding and thinking - U.S. History Civil Rights imovie - research Civil Rights topic and produce an imovie based on the studen't perspective.
Digital video/audio/graphics -
video - Video Production class creates monthly news broadcasts
audio - Music theory class works with Garageband in audio production and editing

graphics - Graphic Design classes work with photoshop, illustrator, and flash animation software

CAD - use Autodesk, Rivet, and Inventor in the production of computer aided designs
 
Other Examples: 

Spanish - Colombian pen pals for four years, exchanged emails, letters, videos, and Skyped with classes. Students from Gretna and Columbia had a common website. The students could see work from not only their friend, but from other Colombian students as well. Each student had his / her own website and could create it as he / she wished to reflect themselves.

Science 9 - Element book project-using a story jumper website that allows them to create a book about an element in a story like setting
 
Social Studies - American Government: Students create Facebook accounts for the Founding Fathers.

 

Spanish - make a word cloud using wordle.com.

Spanish - Scavenger hunt using QR codes to gather clues. The QR codes are linked to videos. 

Social Studies - An iMovie project that requires students to research an event from the Civil Rights Movement or Cold War. Students must demonstrate mastery of the subject by creating a script and a storyboard, then practice visual storytelling by shooting scenes and editing together a documentary. 

Social Studies - Students design their own websites dedicated to a renaissance figure.
