GHS Future Vision and Direction

• Improved computer access - 24 / 7 access in a 1:1 environment - went 1:1 at the high school in 2018.
• Network reliability - improve consistancy and speed of wireless access - Ongoing
• Schedule flexibility - common time for departments to work together in the development of curriculum to include technology - Scheduled common plan periods for all curricular subjects in 2017.
• Support resources - sufficient staff to support teachers and students in their technology - Added second Technology Coordinator and Technology Curriculum specialist in 2019.

• Staff Development - to help staff with the transition from teacher led classrooms to a blended classroom in which
students become more responsible for their learning - Provided Apple training to all staff during 2019 and partnered with ESU#3 to provide cooperative training throughout the 2018-19 school year.
• Development of a full computer science curriculum offering a variety of coding experiences for our students. - Offered a computer science curriculum including HTML5, Java, Python, and Cybersecurity courses in fall of 2019.
• Development of an engaging technologies lab offering students the opportunity to explore the latest  - to open in fall of 2020-21.
