GHS Counseling Center

The counseling office at Gretna High School provides support to students for academic, college, and career planning, as well as addressing social and emotional concerns. Our office is dedicated to assisting students throughout their time at GHS and equipping them with the necessary tools for success beyond graduation.

Each student is assigned a counselor based on the first letter of their last name. Students have the opportunity to schedule appointments with their designated counselor to discuss various matters, including course planning and selection, standardized testing, skill development, college searches and visits, transcripts and letters of recommendation, peer relationships, and home and health concerns, among other topics. Our counselors are deeply committed to supporting our students and their success.

Transcript Requests

For a transcript to be considered official, it must be sent via U.S. Mail or directly uploaded by GHS. Please allow at least a week for it to be received by the institution and at least another week or two for the organization to update their online system.

Current GHS Students
All transcript requests will be through Schoolinks. You can request a transcript and other application documents by clicking on "Colleges," then "College Applications" and then add your application(s) to the list. The application must be marked as "Completed" in order for your transcript and other application materials to be sent. This process can be used to send transcripts to colleges, universities, NCAA/NAIA and coaches. If you are sending your transcript to a scholarship or organization, please reach out to Mrs. Shurtliff (mshurtliff@gpsne.org) in the counseling office.

GHS Alumni Transcript Request
Please send an email to the ghsregistrar@gpsne.org. In your email, please include the name and address of the organization or college you want to receive a copy of your transcript.

Dual Credit Transcripts
In order for dual credit classes to count as college courses at another post-secondary educational institution, the transcript must be sent from Metro Community College, NOT GHS.

Students must contact MCC directly to request their transcript to be forwarded to another college or university. This request may be completed online through Metro's website: www.mccneb.edu

Request for Records for Transferring Students
Please email requests for records to ghsregistrar@gpsne.org.
